511NY Rideshare’s mission is to encourage the use of sustainable transportation options such as carpooling, public transit, vanpooling, biking and walking. The goal is to reduce traffic congestion, improve mobility, and improve air quality throughout New York State.

The program is sponsored by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and has assisted 10,000 employers and more than 120,000 commuters since 2010.

511NY Rideshare has reduced over 414 million miles of vehicle travel from New York’s busy roadways, and has reduced Greenhouse gas emissions by over 166,000 tons.

The Supporting Partners program enables qualified organizations to donate goods or services to help 511NY Rideshare grow its community of travelers using or seeking sustainable transportation modes. 511NY Rideshare is sponsored by New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), and managed and by outside contractors, including CommuterLink, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting alternative transportation in New York. Supporting Partner donations are made through 501(c)3, CommuterLink and are tax deductible.

Contact the 511NY Rideshare team at info@511nyrideshare.org. A 511NY Rideshare representative will contact you to discuss your proposal. If your organization is approved, you will make your tax-deductible donation through Commuterlink. Once the donation is received, you will receive a Donation Acknowledgement letter, which will contain CommuterLink’s Tax ID number, written confirmation of your donation, and information about IRS regulations.

Note: The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and CommuterLink reserve the right to refuse or decline any offer of sponsorship at its discretion. Sponsorships and donations do not imply endorsement of products or services by CommuterLink or 511NY Rideshare. A sponsorship or donation does not automatically imply any exclusive arrangement with CommuterLink or 511NY Rideshare.
