United Nations General Assembly Meeting, NYC September 8-28, 2026

The United Nations General Assembly, convenes in New York City each year to bring together world leaders, diplomats, and representatives from over 190 members.
 
This meeting brings travelers from across the globe to Manhattan.
In turn, commuter schedules may be impacted during this time including significant impacts from planned road closures and delays to public transportation. Check routes before traveling to determine if there are any changes in typical schedules and routes.

Portal North Bridge Replacement Amtrak Impacts

NJ Transit and Amtrack replaced the Portal Bridge over the Hackensack River in New Jersey.

 
At this phase of the project, outages will be required to connect, test, and commission new tracks over the new bridge. It’s anticipated that a reduced number of trains will run during the fall to accommodate this work.
