Get There Green! is a week dedicated to promoting and celebrating more sustainable modes of transportation. During this week, everyone is encouraged to take climate action by choosing a sustainable transportation option for as many trips as possible.

Car-Free Lake Placid
Travel car-free to Lake Placid and be eligible for discounts from area businesses and retailers. You can travel car-free to the Lake Placid area on Amtrak and the Adirondack Trailways bus service. Once you arrive in Lake Placid, the Essex County Public Transit offers public transportation locally, including many routes that serve tourists in peak seasons.
