Carpooling is as easy as it sounds — share a ride with other travelers or commuters who have similar start and end locations. You can participate in carpools as a driver only, passenger only or in alternating roles. Not only does carpooling save money, but during a transportation or weather related emergency it may be the only way to get to work.
With our Ridematch system, joining a carpool is quick and easy. To start finding carpool matches, create an account or log in to your profile on Finger Lakes Rideshare or one of the other regional carpool matching sites below. Once you're logged in, navigate to "Find a Carpool", and start matching!

You control who you carpool with: You can select preferences to filter results and you can even decide to only carpool with individuals from your organization.

Our ridematching platform allows you to find commuters close to your home or work address, or those along your route. Use our “Find a Carpool Partner” tool to see your ridematch options.

Commuters can save between $400-$1,800 annually by switching to carpooling (NRDC). Plus, you may qualify for a reduction in premiums on your car insurance as a carpooler.
