Waze Data
Waze is a crowdsourced dataset that collects map data, travel times, and traffic information. Users can also report incidents, construction, road conditions, and traffic jams through the free Waze app. Several Waze datasets for New York State are included here, including incident data (weather, accident, slow-down/jams, road closures, construction, and road hazards), real-time speeds and jams, and historical speed and jams.

Access to the data can be provided using two methods:
Waze API feed for real-time data
Waze Historical Data Application – this application allows users to visualize large amounts of Waze data over monthly and yearly timeframes while also allowing users to export and download Waze data for their own analytics needs
Data Dictionary or Metadata:
The Waze data specification document is available in the data lake and can be provided to authorized users on-demand.
